Objectives:

1. To introduce to the Indonesian public the whale civilization in Indonesia
2. To promote whale conservation to the Indonesian public and Government

Background Information:

The seas of Indonesia are one of the whale’s habitats, but there are many people in Indonesia who are not aware of this. Public understanding about whale conservation has not increased due to a lack of information. In the area of Nusa Tenggara Timur (East Southeast Island, near Bali) there is traditional whales hunting, but there are no statistics to show how much this has affected whale conservation.
