From Borneo to Celebes in PMM 2008

ProFauna Members Meeting (PMM) 2008 was held on 16 – 18 August 2008 in P-WEC (www.p-wec.com). The biennial meeting left so many sweet memories for the participants. ProFauna members from all over Indonesia; Java, Bali, Sumatera, Kalimantan (Borneo), Sulawesi (Celebes), etc., met each other on the event. What more important is that the participants can gain more knowledge on wildlife protection activities as presented by the speakers.
The speakers were not only from Indonesia, but also from overseas; the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) from UK and Indonesian Parrots Project which is based in USA. The three-day conference was held from 8 in the morning to 8 in the evening, yet, the participant did enjoy it.
PMM 2008 was more special with the coming of a national celeb, Eddie Brokoli, who is also a member of ProFauna Indonesia. During his speech, Eddie told all ProFauna members who attended the meeting that he was honored to be in Malang where ProFauna headquarters is. Eddie pledged to the other ProFauna members that he would be more active in supporting ProFauna. He also commended ProFauna for its great hard work to save wildlife in Indonesia.
