ProFauna's Gathering on Kuta Beach, Bali
On 27th January 2011, ProFauna's local volunteers called ProFauna Supporter in Bali, gathered on Kuta Beach. The gathering was attended by local volunteers from different background: veterinarian, environmental activist, university student, and also high school children. ProFauna's Chairman, Rosek Nursahid; ProFauna Bali Office's staff members: I Wayan Wiradnyana and Dionisius Utama; also came.
In the informal meeting held by ProFauna's Sea Turtle Conservation Center, Rosek Nursahid announced ProFauna Supporter's biennial event called ProFauna Conference that will be held from 3rd to 5th June 2011 and invited ProFauna's local volunteers in Bali to participate in the conference. The gathering participants were excited to the news and expressed their interest to come. The excitement was even more when Nursahid awarded I Gusti Ngurah Tresna, a.k.a Gung Aji, as ProFauna's Honorable Member. Tresna has been the head of Kuta Beach security guards whom ProFauna has been working together with the local communities in its sea turtle protection campaign.
